I traveled 1200 miles to Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico round trip in three days fully loaded to find out what was the best arrangement to all the things I was taken to the Ruta Maya trip. I traveled with my friend Bobby. We had a lot of fun, we almost ran out of gas and put a 640 mile day.

The second night we were caught in a sand storm while in Sand Hills national park, TX. The sand blew all night inside the tent and finally stopped at 6 in the morning. The Eureka tent I had bought didn’t withstand the winds and a snap broke through the night plus it had burn marks from the buckles slapping the side of the tent.
